NTRMAN is a developer known for high-quality art and polarizing stories. His latest release, Chona, returns to his roots of “Mother NTR” set in Southeast Asia.
Is this a return to form or just another “fast food” release to fund bigger projects? We played the latest v1.11 build to find out.
The Story: Poverty & Temptation

The game is set in a humble Southeast Asian neighborhood. You follow the story of Chona, a struggling single mother trying to provide for her young son, Nimuel.
-
The Setup: Chona’s life is hard. She works an “obscene” job to make ends meet but tries to keep her heart pure for her son.
-
The Corruption: The promise of wealth and luxury—offered by a wealthy antagonist (often an “Uncle” figure or bully)—begins to erode her morals.
-
The Conflict: Unlike previous slow-burn titles, Chona moves fast. The transition from “devoted mother” to “corrupted lover” happens quickly, leading to a story focused more on the result (cuckoldry) than the journey.
Gameplay: A Visual Experience
This is largely a Kinetic Novel, meaning there are few choices and they often lead to similar outcomes.
-
Choices: There are minor decisions, but critics note that they rarely impact the overall narrative flow. The story is on rails.
-
Visuals: This is where the game shines. The 2D Live2D animations are top-tier. Even harsh critics admit that the art and loop animations are some of the best in the genre.
-
Pacing: It’s short. Many players describe it as “fast food porn”—consumable in under an hour with little narrative depth but high visual payoff.
The QA-APK Verdict
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3.2/5)
What We Loved:
-
Art & Animation: NTRMAN remains a king of visuals. The character design is fantastic, and the animations are smooth and erotic.
-
Epilogue: Some players found the epilogue to be the strongest part of the writing, offering a surprising twist or satisfaction depending on your tastes.
-
Setting: The Southeast Asian backdrop provides a unique atmosphere compared to the usual Western or Japanese settings in AVNs.
What Needs Work:
-
Rushed Story: The biggest complaint is the writing. There is almost no build-up. Chona goes from resisting to accepting corruption at lightning speed (“ON/OFF switch”).
-
Lack of Agency: The “game” part is minimal. Choices feel like illusions, and the “bad” endings (for the son) are often unavoidable.
-
Recycled Tropes: If you have played other NTRMAN games, this will feel very familiar. The “Bully steals Mom” plot is reused without much innovation.

Final Word: Chona is a game you play for the art, not the heart. If you want a quick, visually stunning NTR experience and don’t mind a thin plot, it delivers. If you are looking for a deep, emotional slow-burn story like Tenants of the Dead, you might be disappointed.

FAQs
Q: Is there an Android version?
- A: Officially, no. However, since it is a lightweight Ren’Py/Unity-based visual novel, it can often be played on Android using emulators like JoiPlay.
Q: Are there multiple endings?
- A: Technically yes, but they are variations of the same outcome. The core “NTR” path is the main focus of the game.
Q: Is there voice acting?
- A: Minimal to none. Unlike some of NTRMAN’s other recent works, Chona relies mostly on text and sound effects.
