Summertime Saga Preview Walkthrough: Main Story & Prologue Guide

The world of Summertime Saga is evolving. If you are playing the latest Preview Version, you are experiencing the reworked introduction to the game. The story remains familiar—your father’s unexpected passing, a mountain of debt to a shady group, and a mystery regarding your sudden popularity with the ladies—but the flow has changed.

This guide provides a strictly tested, step-by-step walkthrough for the Main Story (Prologue) in the current preview build.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: This guide applies to the Preview/Reworked build. The Main Story is currently a Work In Progress (WIP). The questline currently pauses after the Pizza Delivery unlock. Future updates will expand this narrative. Check review and download link

📅 Part 1: The Prologue (Day 1)

Your journey begins immediately after the intro cutscenes. Follow these precise steps to unlock the character routes and establish the game world.

1. Leaving Home:

   • Click the door to exit your bedroom.

   • Go downstairs -> Enter the Kitchen (doorway on the right).

   • Open the Map (Top Right) and travel to Erik’s House (The yellow house with the green roof).

   • Talk to Erik (Sitting on the walkway).

2. School Days:

   • Use the Map to travel to School.

   • Erik’s Question: You will face a dialogue choice.

     • Option: “The bunny hole?” (This is the “correct” lore answer, but any choice advances the plot).

   • Enter the School.

   • Go up to the 2nd Floor. A conversation will trigger.

   • Proceed to the 3rd Floor and enter the door at the end of the hallway.

3. The Locker Mystery:

   • Return to the 1st Floor.

   • Click on your Locker (Left side).

   • Click the Arrow (Top Right) to exit the locker view immediately (no items needed yet).

   • Walk down the Left Hallway.

   • Enter the Boys’ Locker Room (Far right door).

4. Meeting the Faculty:

   • Return to the Main Hall -> Exit to the Track Field (Far doors).

   • Go back into the Locker Room.

   • Return to the Main Hall -> Enter the Right Hallway.

   • Enter the ABC Room (Far right door).

🎉 Routes Unlocked: Completing this sequence opens routes for Jenny, Debbie, Diane, Ms. Bissette, Ms. Dewitt, Ms. Okita, and Ms. Ross.

📅 Part 2: Time Progression Events

The story now requires you to pass time to trigger specific scripted events regarding your family and finances.

Event: The Lobby Encounter

• Requirement: Wait at least 2 Days.

• Action: Triggers automatically when entering the Lobby.

Event: Friday Breakfast

• Requirement: Must be a Friday.

• Action: Go to the Kitchen -> Exit to the Street.

• Tip: Check the 2nd Floor hallway before advancing for optional dialogue.

Event: Shopping Trip

• Requirement: Wait at least 1 Day after the previous event.

• Trigger: Debbie must be in the Lobby (looking through her purse).

• Action: Attempt to Exit or Enter the house.

Event: The Crash (Bankruptcy)

• Requirement: Wait roughly 20 Days from the start.

• Action: Spend time outside the house, then return home.

• Consequence: You will lose all cash on hand.

• Pro-Tip: Any money stored in the Bank is safe. Deposit your cash before Day 20!

🍕 Part 3: The Pizza Job (The Mafia Connection)

Once the financial reality hits, you need a job. This unlocks the Pizza Delivery minigame and introduces Tony.

1. Wait 1 Day after the “Bankruptcy” event.

2. Travel to the Pizzeria and enter.

3. The Bike Dilemma (Crucial Choice): Tony asks if you have a bike.

   • Choice A (Honest): “Yes” (If you already bought it). You get the job.

   • Choice B (Smart): “No.” Tony will give you $200 to buy one.

   • QA-APK Strategy: Even if you have the bike, say “No”. You keep the bike and get a free $200. Tony won’t find out.

4. Go to the Mall -> Consum-R.

5. Buy the Bike for $200 (if you haven’t already).

6. Return to the Pizzeria and talk to Tony.

7. Click the Pizza Boxes on the counter to start the delivery minigame.

Mini-Game Guide: Pizza Delivery

Once you have unlocked the job and own the Road Bike, you can start earning serious money. Deliveries are not just for cash; they are often required to progress specific story routes later in the game.

How to Play

1. Start: Click the stack of pizza boxes on the counter at Tony’s Pizza.

2. The Objective: You must deliver 3 pizzas to the correct houses in a side-scrolling runner game.

3. Matching: As you ride, look for thought bubbles appearing above the houses. These show which pizza topping the customer wants.

4. Timing (Critical): Wait until your character (the MC) overlaps with the House Door.

5. Action: Click the matching pizza icon at the bottom of the screen.

   • Correct: You deliver the pizza and get paid.

   • Incorrect/Missed: You lose that delivery payment.

Vehicle Upgrades & Rewards

As you progress, you can purchase better vehicles from the Saga Dealership. Upgrading isn’t just cosmetic—it significantly boosts your income per delivery.

⚠️ QA-APK Warning: Faster vehicles earn more money, but the screen scrolls much faster. You will need sharper reflexes for the Sports Car!

Pro Tip: Stick with the Road Bike or Scooter initially to build up your bank balance. The jump in speed to the Cars can make the minigame difficult if you aren’t used to the timing.

HIGH-VALUE FAQ

Q: I finished the Pizza mission, but nothing else happens. Is the game bugged? A: No. In this Preview Version, the Main Story currently pauses after the Pizza Delivery unlock. You can now focus on individual character routes (Debbie, Jenny, etc.) until the next update.

Q: How do I save my progress in the Preview Version? A: Use the phone menu (bottom left) and select the floppy disk icon. Note: Saves from the “Old/Legacy” Summertime Saga are usually NOT compatible with this reworked Preview build.

Q: Why did I lose all my money on Day 20? A: This is a scripted story event representing your father’s debt collectors seizing assets. To avoid this loss in future playthroughs, always visit the Bank to deposit your earnings before Day 20.
